These color songs for kids will make learning about the colors around us fun and exciting! We think they’re some of the best songs for kids.

There are so many great ways to use colors with children. Think about I Spy games. Or I even use colors for transitions. “If you’re wearing red, go get in line for lunch.”  There are so many ways to incorporate colors into your day, and color songs are some of our favorites.

Want a great visual for teaching colors? We have some color cards that are perfect and FREE! Use them for circle time, small groups, homeschool, or as labels! They include the color names in both English and Spanish. Get them here in our VIP Subscriber Library when you join our email list.

How to Stream Music in the Classroom or at Home

If you want to get songs without the ads from YouTube, there are a couple simple solutions. You can click the songs directly from this post, and it should take away most of the ads. Screen it first to make sure it works for your needs.

If you are using just audio, I have Amazon Music Unlimited. It isn’t free, but well worth it for me because we use it each day between the classroom and home. If you would want to download more than 10 songs a month, it’s worth its weight in gold!

It’s compatible with your phone, electronic devices, Alexa, and computer. What’s great is that I can download the songs while I’m home on my phone using wifi with the Amazon Music app. Then the songs are always there on my phone, and I can play them in the classroom, the car, or anywhere else.

There is also a 2 million song music library with Amazon Prime. That’s how I started, but then I eventually switched to Amazon Music Unlimited because it has nearly every song.

Have the perfect song at your fingertips whenever you need it! Grab our free printable below of some of the best kids’ songs.

Color Song for Children by The Learning Station

Our friends at The Learning Station hit another home run with this great color song! Each color is shown on a t-shirt, and kids who are wearing that color are encouraged to do a specific action. The actions rhyme with the color, which brings a super important reading skill to the song. Colors, movement, rhyming, literacy – what more do you need?!

What Color Is It? by Jack Hartmann

One of our favorites, Jack Hartmann, is back with this fun colors song. His wacky costumes and fun visuals are sure to be a hit with your kids! He shows common objects and asks the kids to name the color, which will keep them engaged and thinking during the whole song. I also love that he includes the color titles in text, so kids get early practice seeing how they’re written.

Look at All the Colors I Can See by ABCmouse.com

I LOVE it when people take familiar tunes and put different words to them in order to teach! Music is a fantastic teaching tool, and using a song that’s already familiar immediately hooks a child’s attention to whatever comes next! This one uses “She’ll be Comin’ Round the Mountain.”

Los Colores: The Colors in Spanish Song by Risas y Sonrisas Spanish for Kids

Speaking of using familiar tunes to teach a new concept, check out Los Colores! Learning the color names in Spanish doesn’t get any easier than this!

What’s your Favorite Color? by Super Simple Learning

What’s YOUR favorite color? Adorable puppets share their favorite colors, and then they all combine at the end to make a rainbow. Your kids will love this bright and happy colors song for preschool.

Colors Song for Kids by Bounce Patrol

I award Bounce Patrol ten bonus points for this colors song! They wear shirts of different colors and then … wait for it … HUG each other to mix the colors! It’s an adorable way to introduce the concept of color mixing. Yay for learning preschool science through song!

Colors Song for Children by Patty Shukla

A sweet colors song for kids! The video shows common objects and talks about what color they are. This can be an easy introduction to doing the same thing in your classroom – hold up an object and have the kids name the color!

Rainbow Colors Song by The Singing Walrus

The rainbow colors are presented in a fun rock song! Some of the lyrics are sung, but they also encourage kids to chant along to the beat at times. Chanting and singing are actually very different skills, and both are important to early music education!

The Colors Song by ABCmouse.com

Another preschool colors song that is a super fun way to introduce the concept of primary and secondary colors, as well as color mixing. I love the tune and beat of this one, and the tight harmonies!

Color Song for Kids by Dream English Kids

This color song would be perfect for toddlers! It shows each color, along with its title, on a balloon that dreamily floats away. Super sweet and captivating!

The Rainbow Song by Signing Time

I love it any time our little learners get a chance to learn some sign language. You might have to watch it a few times before they’ll master them, but this catchy tune will teach the signs for the colors of the rainbow. The signs are first demonstrated by a hearing child and then a deaf child.

Colors All Around by Jack Hartmann

Jack amazingly turns a colors song into a music and movement song and it’s MAGICAL!

Looking for more great colors songs? Our friend Angela at teachingmama.org has written 10 original colors songs to go with familiar tunes and they’re simply wonderful!

To make these, and other great songs, super easy to use during circle time, we’ve put them together in a handy printable! Check it out in our store.
