pin image with text - Awesome fall science for preschoolers with picture of fall leaves stuck to the window using clear contact paper

I don't think it is any secret that science can be one of the most challenging learning domains to set up for preschoolers. My teacher friends and I have talked about this time after time, and I truly struggled with this myself for about my first five years of teaching. I have done well in science all through school myself, but for whatever reason, it just seems harder to break down into View Post

Spiders are a great topic to learn about for kids, especially since they are all around us. I've put together 20 fun spider facts for preschoolers and kids. It's day four of spider week at Preschool Inspirations! Here is a great sensory bag to have around Halloween. We spend lots of time savoring sensory bags, so I like to try and rotate them out based on a different theme. I thought that our small black spiders would be perfect to fill in an orange one. This post contains affiliate links. I definitely added glitter too! We have a bottle View Post

October 14, 2013 by Katie T. Christiansen 11 Comments

The spider sensory table involves using yarn to create spider webs as the children create plastic spider adventures.

When It’s Not “Okay”

October 12, 2013 by Katie T. Christiansen Leave a Comment

Young children often act on impulse. Anyone who spends even a small amount of time with kids can relate to this. Cory sees a toy enticing him, which happens to be in the hands of Jesse,  who is across the playground. So what's the quickest and most effective way to get a hold of it? To pummel Jesse and snatch it of course! There is no doubt that children are all different in their responses. View Post
