To me, dinosaur songs for preschoolers and toddlers don’t get any better than this! It’s creative, catchy, and fun! Your kids won’t be able to resist marching around like dinosaurs and then following the rest of the simple directions. It’s great for music and movement as well as creativity and critical listening!
Dinosaur Stomp by The Kiboomers
“When you have too much energy in you…” Do you know any kids like that? Wink, wink. In fun this song they can do the dinosaur stomp, twirl like a ballerina, dance like a robot, roar like a lion and more to get that energy out! It’s a perfect dinosaur dance song!
The Dinosaurs Song by Big Word Club
Big Word Club is another new artist for me and I’m in love! Their mission is to improve kids’ vocabularies in fast and fun ways. Their dinosaur song for kids is a REALLY catchy blues tune that you’ll love! I laughed out loud the first time I heard, “the dinosaurs, big as trees, the dinosaurs, brains like peas.”
The Prehistoric Animal Brigade by Toddler Fun Learning
Anyone who can rhyme “chorus” with “brontosaurus” is a hero in my book! This fun dinosaur song for toddlers and preschoolers includes tons of key changes and has so many fun rhyming phrases.
Walk Like a Dinosaur with Matt by Dream English Kids
Another great music and movement song for when it’s time to get the wiggles out! Join Matt to walk, talk, and chomp like a dinosaur.
The Dino Dance by The BeatBuds
This one is audio only, but don’t skip it! It’s my favorite kind of dinosaur song for kids – one that adults can really enjoy, too! The great rhythm is sure to inspire a dinosaur dance party. Be sure to have the kids listen closely for what happens to the caveman.
Dinosaur Boogie by Dr. Jean
According to Dr. Jean, she recorded this video to help students help improve their imaginations, to learn new words, and to have a few minutes of fun. It’s perfect! It’s educational, clever, and encourages the kids to get up and move.
Dinosaur Stomp by Koo Koo Kangaroo
Pure dinosaur fun! My kids love dancing along with the Koo Koo Kangaroo gang. Stomp it and chomp it!
Dinosaur Songs for Circle Time
How Do Dinosaurs Say Goodnight? by Miss Nina
I LOVE THIS! One of our favorite musicians taken the popular children’s book, How Do Dinosaurs Say Goodnight? by Jane Yolen and set it to music!! It’s catchy and fun and a great addition to your circle time.
One Big Dinosaur by Lindsay Munroe
Meet Lindsay Munroe! You can read more about her amazing story on her website lindsaymunroemusic.com, but she has teamed up with the one and only Raffi!! Together they are making positive, endearing music and advocating for wonderful things like diversity and inclusion.
Her song One Big Dinosaur is simple, repetitive (in a great way that builds sing-along confidence,) and imaginative!
Dino Ditty: Storytime Song by Jbrary
A fun circle time song set to the tune of “Do Wah Diddy Diddy.” Except instead of, “there she was, just a-walkin’ down the street,” it’s, “hungry dino, walking down the street!” I love the suggestion she makes at the end of starting with the chorus before you jump into the whole song.
I’m Bringing Home a Baby Dinosaur by King County Library System
A great dinosaur chant that is perfect for circle time! It’s set to the familiar tune of “I’m bringing home a baby bumblebee” and gives the kids a chance to let out a good “ROAR!”
10 Little Dinosaurs by Super Simple Songs
Count to 10 with dinosaurs! Each number introduces a different dinosaur baby. Spoiler alert – they’re adorable.
